Who stills pays for their SSL certifications? Not this guy!
I guess it was about over a year ago when Google starting mentioning how SSL was another factor to consider in website ranking etc… <<< if you click on that link I go into more details about that and it is well worth the read, but today I want to show you how easy it is to install SSL via the CPANEL let’s encrypt plug.
Watch The Video Below – I Will Also Leave Instructions Below As Well.
So first thing you are going to do is login to your CPANEL and look for Let’s Encrypt
Once You Click On It You Will Be In The Lets Encrypt Dashoboard
I already added it here, but you will just select your domain from the drop down and install!
Then You Want To Make Sure All Your URLS Are Using HTTPS
An awesome Plugin to use is Really Simple SSL
And as you can see from the video that is that! You might run into some issues where your are getting some insecure warnings still.
I did a nice easy to follow post here https://whackahost.com/installed-ssl-still-getting-insecure-warnings/ that will help you find out why you might not be 100% secure.
Usually it is a silly url in some CSS that is not https, but you never know. I go into it in this post, but if you go to https://www.whynopadlock.com/ and run a scan it will help!
OK… hope you got something out of this! Please give me a like, share, or leave a comment and let me know if you have used Let’s Encrypt!
Oh and Siteground has Let’s Encrypt build right into Cpanel…. read more about Siteground on my review page here https://whackahost.com/siteground-review/
